The wide wrap-around terrace is ideal for al fresco dinners and relaxing afternoons spent reconnecting with friends and family, while the private waterfall and natural pool are an inviting escape to relax and be one with nature. Stays at Dumbanagala can be all inclusive, with a dedicated chef, lodge host and wilderness trekker on hand to help you create a bespoke escape.
The Chalet
Built at the base of the Dumbanagala Mountain, at an elevation of 1190 meters, the Chalet is designed to take full advantage of the breathtaking landscape with a focus on simple elegance, and luxury. The ambience is that of utter seclusion, solitude, and serenity with simple but comfortable décor and amenities. With canopied ceilings, Teak wood and granite floors, wood burning stone fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows that open to a private wraparound balcony with breathtaking vistas, guests enjoy the surroundings in stylish, contemporary comfort. With 7 beautifully appointed rooms, the chalet can host up to 20adults or 15 adults and 5 children.

The Cottage
Tucked away among macadamia trees and cardamom plantation, the cozy little cottage is located 200 meters away from the chalet with 2 double rooms and a family room. All rooms face the lush green canopy of the forest with mountain views. It is an ideal place to watch the birds and the giant squirrels coming to feast on the macadamia nuts. The Cottage can accommodate up to 8 adults or 5 adults and 3 children. Guests at the cottage have access to the lobby and dining areas of the chalet.

NATURAL POOL AND A REFRESHING DIP
The natural pool and the waterfall are a five minute walk away from the Chalet and are located within the property and provide complete privacy. Guests staying with us have exclusive use of them. The refreshed feeling arising from a dip in the ice cold, clear spring water can never be compared to a dip in a chlorinated man made pool. The flat rockbed on the sides of the waterfall is an inviting space to lay down and watch the clouds go by, read a book, sunbathe or watch the butterflies gliding gracefully. Trees surrounding the pool with their jungle vines offer a natural swing to dive in.. All in all, a fun way to relax with family and friends.
